Nexu
​There are two main categories of Nexu: Nexum and Nexus. Nexum relies on the manipulation of mana and chakra, which are essential energy sources for the Fae. Mana is derived from the planet and nature, while chakra refers to the seven energy centers within the body that allow mana to flow and enable the use of abilities. These seven chakras are named root, sacral, solar, heart, throat, brow, and crown.

nerve bundles and internal organs. Each chakra is associated with different aspects of physical, emotional,
and spiritual well-being. Balancing and aligning these chakras is believed to promote overall well-being
and harmony within the individual, supporting physical, emotional, and spiritual health.

The seven chakras and their descriptions

Root Chakra
Location: Base of the spine, near the coccyx
Color: Green
Element: Earth.
Associations: Grounding, stability, survival instincts, physical health, and sense of belonging.
Purpose: The root chakra is the foundation of the chakra system and represents our connection to the physical world and our basic needs for security and safety.
Sacral Chakra
Location: Below the navel, in the lower abdomen
Color: Blue
Element: Water
Associations: Creativity, sensuality, emotions, pleasure, and reproductive organs
Purpose: The sacral chakra is associated with our ability to experience and express emotions, creativity, and our sense of joy and pleasure.
Solar Chakra
Location: In the upper abdomen, just below the ribcage
Color: Red
Element: Fire
Associations: Personal power, self-confidence, willpower, digestion, and inner strength
Purpose: The solar plexus chakra governs our self-esteem, personal identity, and ability to assert ourselves in the world.
Heart Chakra
Location: In the center of the chest, near the heart
Color: Pink
Element: Nature
Associations: Love, compassion, forgiveness, relationships, and emotional healing
Purpose: The heart chakra is the center of love and compassion, promoting understanding, empathy, and forgiveness for oneself and others.
Throat Chakra
Location: In the throat region.
Color: White
Element: Wind
Associations: Communication, self-expression, truth, and the ability to speak one's truth.
Purpose: The throat chakra is responsible for clear communication, honest self-expression, and the ability to listen attentively.
Brow Chakra
Location: Between the eyebrows, on the forehead.
Color: Yellow
Element: Electric
Associations: Intuition, imagination, inner wisdom, and spiritual insight.
Purpose: The third eye chakra is connected to our intuition and inner wisdom, allowing us to perceive higher truths and gain spiritual insights.
Crown Chakra
Location: At the top of the head.
Color: Purple
Element: Shadow
Associations: Spiritual connection, higher consciousness, divine knowledge, and enlightenment
Purpose: The crown chakra represents our connection to the universe, spiritual awareness, and our potential for spiritual growth and enlightenment.

To enhance the flow of mana and chakra, Nexu practitioners utilize various movements and martial arts techniques. This enhances their ability to channel and control the energy effectively. Chakra acts as a form of stamina for Nexu users. If they deplete their chakra, they risk losing consciousness. It is also their primary source of energy to fuel their abilities. Upon an individual's death, their chakra can be stolen by others.
The concept of nexus is unique to each individual and is determined by their specific chakra distribution. Nexus plays a pivotal role in determining the type of ability a Fae can wield. It is divided into various categories, including (some fae may only possess the aptitude for one nexus while others can utilize multiple. There are a few who can even use all six.):

Bending: A fae with this nexus is adept at manipulating one's ability, bending them to their will.
For example, they might control fire, water, earth, or air.
Enhancement: This nexus allows fae to augment their own physical and magical capabilities,
enhancing their natural talents and abilities.
Giver: Fae with a giver nexus can bestow beneficial energies or enhancements upon others,
healing or empowering them.
Manipulation: This nexus enables individuals to influence their ability, transform an attack,
or manipulate the flow of energy.
Range: Fae with a strong nexus in range have abilities that can reach distant targets or have an extended area of
effect.
Specialization: Specialization-focused Fae possess unique and rare abilities that are not easily classified within the other nexus categories.

Each individual possesses a distinct Nexu style—a singular fusion of Nexum and nexus—that not only sets them apart from others but also profoundly shapes their identity, abilities, and the way they engage with the world. In the context of classes and abilities, a "class" is a categorization that designates the group or individual to a specific category based on their abilities or nexu type. Classes serve as a way to organize and classify ability users according to the unique affinities they possess. Individuals are assigned to particular classes based on the type of nexu they can wield or the elemental affinity they possess. For example, some may belong to the class of "elemental," with the ability to manipulate and control the elements such as fire, water, air, and earth. Others might be classified as "warlocks and witches," mastering the art of creating mesmerizing illusions and manipulating perceptions.

There are eight types of ability Users. The types are broken into eight classes. These classes are battle mage, elemental, enchanter, exorcist, magi, sage, warlock/witch, and wizard.
Those who use warrior type abilities are called battle mages. These abilities rely on offensive battle. This type of nexu is the most popular among humanoids who possess mana.

Elemental​​
Elementals are those who use one of the seven natural elements of this world. However, elves and those who use shadow abilities go by different names. Any elf that can use elemental type magic is known as a Druid while all other races are called Elementals. Those who use shadow abilities are known as sorcerers.

Enchanter​​
​​
Enchanters are those who enchant items and store abilities. Unfortunately, crystals are the only things that can be used for enchanting and storing abilities. This is due to the fact that crystals are the only thing that can hold nexu without shattering.

Exorcists are seen as inhuman. Most of the time, these types of abilities have to do with life, rebirth, and death. This type of nexu is forbidden in most countries.

Magi​​
Magi form groups and bind themselves to each other. This allows the group as a whole to increase the power of their nexu. This group is known as a covenant. Individuals who rely on a covenant are often weaker and possess little mana. Any type of ability can be strengthened through a covenant. However, once an ability user is part of a covenant, he or she will lose the individual title as a nexu user and will become a permanent member of the covenant he or she joined.

Sage​
Sages are those who wield a very rare type of ability that is only passed down through family. This type of ability is based on this world's 12 animals of the Zodiac. The user is granted all traits of the animal. The individual can even shift their image or a single body part to that of the animal. The 12 users of this rare type of nexu are the ones who make up what is known as the Nexu Council.

Those who utilize what is known as summoning magic are known as warlocks and witches. These types of abilities involve summoning objects or animals. It can also involve manipulating reality. To use this type of nexu the user must have a vast amount of mana.

Wizards are those who do not possess the ability to use nexu. These individuals have to rely on things like ability crystals that can be placed into weapons or items. Most wizard are humans.
