Battle Mage

Individuals who wield warrior-like abilities are referred to as battle mages. These skills primarily revolve around offensive combat, making them adept at engaging in battles. Together, battle mages are formidable wielders of an extensive repertoire of abilities, including Ghost, Ice, Lava, Light, Magnetic, Metal, Nano Tech, Permeation, Rock, Sand, Smoke, Symbiont, Weapon, and Wood. With their diverse skill set, they stand as powerful combatants capable of manipulating elements, summoning forces of nature, and employing advanced technology to achieve victory in battle. These extraordinary abilities make them the most sought-after and admired nexu among humanoid beings who possess mana.


Examples of battle mage abilities

Ghost: Some users can become invisible or partially transparent, allowing them to move undetected and gain tactical advantages in combat or reconnaissance. A few can phase through solid objects or physical attacks, making it difficult for opponents to land direct hits. Some can also separate their consciousness from their physical body and travel in an astral or ghostly form. This grants the user unique perspectives and access to remote locations.


Ice: Grants the user control over the frigid forces of winter and the power to manipulate ice and cold. With these abilities, one can shape the environment, freeze their enemies, and wield the chilling energies of ice in various ways. They can manipulate ice at will, forming ice constructs, weapons, and barriers to fortify themselves or attack foes. Some can project blasts or streams of icy cold energy, capable of freezing objects or opponents upon impact. They may also have the power to create armor made of ice, enhancing their defense and resilience against physical attacks. A few can even bring ice creatures or entities to life, which can serve as temporary allies or distractions during battles.


Lava: This type can grant the user control over the intense and molten power of lava and volcanic forces. These abilities tap into the raw energy of the earth's fiery core, allowing battle mages to manipulate and wield lava in various ways. Most can generate and control lava, shaping it into deadly projectiles or using it to engulf their weapons, enhancing their attacks with scorching heat. Some can envelop themselves in a protective layer of molten rock, providing enhanced defense and absorbing incoming fire-based attacks. They can radiate intense heat, creating a stifling and hazardous environment for those who come too close. A handful have the ability to summon and control lava-based creatures, such as lava elementals or fiery beasts, to aid them in combat.


Magnetic: Bestows the user with the power to manipulate and control magnetic fields and the forces of magnetism. With these abilities, one can interact with metal and other magnetic materials, shaping the battlefield to their advantage. Most can manipulate metal objects, attracting or repelling them with magnetic forces. They can also reshape and control metallic structures. They can launch magnetic projectiles or create magnetic pulses to disrupt or disarm opponents, affecting metallic armor and weaponry. They can attract or repel objects or enemies with metallic components, altering the movement and positioning of their foes. Users can temporarily lift or levitate metal objects or even themselves using magnetic forces, enabling unique mobility and positioning. Some can reverse or alter the magnetic polarity of objects, causing chaos among metallic elements and magnetic fields. Only a few have the ability to absorb metallic properties, strengthening their own physical attributes.


Sand: Allows one to have the power to manipulate and control sand and its granular properties. With these abilities, users can shape the terrain, create deadly sandstorms, and employ the abrasive nature of sand in various ways. All users can manipulate sand, controlling its movement, density, and shape at will. They can form sand into various structures, such as barriers, projectiles, or weapons, using it as a versatile tool in combat. Some are strong enough to summon powerful sandstorms, reducing visibility and causing disorientation among their foes. Very few also possess the ability to bring sand to life, creating animated constructs or creatures made entirely of sand to aid them in battle. There are some who can merge with sand temporarily, using it as camouflage or to avoid attacks.


Smoke: This type of ability user has mastery over smoke and its elusive properties. With these abilities an individual can manipulate smoke, conceal themselves, and employ the obscurity of smoky environments to their advantage. All users can control the movement, density, and shape of smoke, shaping it into various forms for offensive and defensive purposes. They can use smoke to obscure themselves and their allies, granting them enhanced stealth and making it challenging for opponents to target them accurately. Some can merge with smoke temporarily, allowing them to become intangible and pass through small openings or barriers. A few can fashion illusions or clones made entirely of smoke, confusing and distracting their opponents during combat.
